Private Classes

Group yoga classes are great, but sometimes a private class is very helpful, whether you are new to yoga, needing rehabilitation from an injury or just wanting to deepen your practise. The beauty of the one-on-one is that it is created specifically for you, whatever your goals or requirements might be.

Yogasana

Yogasana is a dynamic and stimulating vinyasa practise where the physical postures and movement are connected to the breath. Expect a little bit of philosophy, challenging asanas to help create a feeling of deep inner peace.

Vinyasa Flow

This style of yoga synchronises movement with breath. The word vinyasa is derived from the Sanskrit term ‘nyasa’ which means “to place” and the prefix vi “in a special way”. In any form of vinyasa the special way in which we move is directly connected to the breath, and the awareness and mindful way in which we move.

Hatha

The translation of the Sanskrit word Hatha means sun-moon or “force”. It is the umbrella term for the physical practice of yoga. Today Hatha yoga is generally considered to be a slower form of Yoga, is designed to calm your mind body and spirit.

Yin Yoga

This is a quiet, slow and meditative practise, with focus on the hips, pelvis and lower spine all supported by the earth using props and variations to allow the body to open and the mind be still. By holding postures for an extended period the connective tissue is stimulated and joints are nourished.

Gong Meditation

Gong meditation is a type of sound therapy. In India It is said that the sound of the gong created the world and was the primal sound of ‘om’. For many experiencing the sound of the gong is a much more accessible form of meditation. It’s sound can be relaxing, energising and revitalising and above all healing.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga nidra is a guided meditation that brings you into a state of conscious sleep. It calms the central nervous system and induces complete mental and physical relaxation with inner awareness.
